His 2002 album, Sha Sha, has been making us smile for years, so news of a new release makes us happier than a Spaniel in some kind of dog kennel made of dog biscuits.*
The album, a debut for his shiny new label Noise Company, is set to be released into the wilderness on February 7 and this is the first thing we’ve heard…and guess what….it’s flippin’ amaze-balls (or totes amaze-balls).

If you’re into bands being tipped for great things, these guys will probably already be on your radar…but if you haven’t got a radar (whatever that is) take a listen.

We’ve featured this guy before on the blog and here’s the follow up taken off their album Teenagers. Lifeguards, ukeleles, and some stick things in the background.
This is one of those tunes that can easily pass you by if you don’t listen to it carefully enough. On the face of it, it seems like a harmless, indie, classically 20-somethings-guitar pop.
But there’s more to it than that. Something rather intelligent.
